Male Comic Friends : Phil Parker : All In, All Out…Half In, Half Out…No Guts, No Glory

“You, my friend, are a victim of disorganized thinking. You are under the unfortunate impression that just because you run away you have no courage; you’re confusing courage with wisdom.”

Query:

If a Man’s ego is wounded in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does He make a sound?

Well, for a second there, it looked like Ol’ Spill Marker’s teeny tiny heart was beginning to grow at least a half size last night!

When I got home, I logged onto Facebook to see what “succinct” something he managed to come up with, and the image I had of the Grinch’s heart growing when he hears the Whos singing down in Whoville immediately disappeared.

Disclaimer: I wasn’t able to grab a screen shot (since I had no reason to believe that this was something that would eventually or quickly disappear), but I did manage to copy and paste his public post. If anyone believes this text is not accurate to what he originally had posted, please say so in the WordPress or Facebook comments.

“I didn’t treat someone the way I should’ve or the way they feel I should’ve. Kate Loice Branam is not a bad person. Misunderstood, definitely, but not a terrible person. It’s easier to dismiss than it is to be involved. I know how that can feel and I know how to do it myself. Call this whatever you want. I fucking hate Facebook.”

Yeeeeee….ah.

I hope he wasn’t attempting to apologize, because that was the most unapologetic non-apology I think I’ve ever received outside of my abusive relationship with the last comic I foolishly befriended and had sexual relations with.

I commented with chescaleigh‘s brilliant instructional video on how to apologize after getting called out (description from EveryDayFeminism : “What do non-apologies look like, and how can you avoid giving them? How do you apologize for your behavior in a way that is meaningful and genuine?”) and I also replied to a couple of comments that trickled in.

By the time I checked Facebook in the morning, Phil had me blocked and the post had disappeared! Juuust like his courage 😦

Still no word from him about what’s up with all that , but he loves me so I’m sure it was just some wacky computer error 🤷🏻‍♀️.
